On June 23, 2010, I and my mother flew with a balloon over Stockholm, together with twenty other passengers. It was our ninth booking; the first eight were cancelled due to bad weather conditions. We actually flew along the eastern edge of the city center. Most of the photos by myself, and a few were taken by my father, Anders.
My mother, Elisabeth.
Myself, Niels.
Cicci, Vilgot, Astrid, and Elisabeth.
Myself, Elisabeth, and Vilgot.
Elisabeth, Vilgot, Cicci and Astrid barely visible, and neighbor balloon in the background.
Unpacking the equipment.
Partly inflated.
Add some fire. At the right Anders, my father.
Everybody on board!
Sailing away...
The take off area.
View over Stockholm. Nordiska muséet and the Globe arena at some distance.
Not sure which crossing this is. Possibly Valhallavägen/Lidingövägen?
The strange water reservoir in Lill-Jansskogen.
Naturhistoriska riksmuséet (National museum on natural history).
Ålkistan, the connection between Brunnsviken and the Baltic sea.
...and our reflection therein.
A playground somewhere in Bergshamra.
Neighbor balloon passing Ulriksdals slott.
Approaching...
The small Conemtech office is located in the top floor of the building in the middle.
Close encounter with the Kista science tower.
Back on the ground, roughly one hour after take off.
