Amstrad CPC (1983 - ?)

The CPC 464 appeared in 1983 with a Z80 CPU, 64K RAM, real keyboard, built-in tape drive and bundled monitor. In 1984, the CPC 664 arrived with a built-in 3" disk drive and later came the CPC 6128 with 128K RAM. There was also a CPC 6128+ version. They ran Locomotive Software's OS which was fast and neat (a popular upgrade for Spectrum users who didn't like the QL). Much Spectrum software was ported, but not much original was created. It could also run CP/M as the OS.

This series of Amstrads had color screens and was more aimed at the games marked than the PCW series.

There are 74 games listed for Amstrad CPC in this list.

Adventureland was created by Hans Persson and is now maintained by Stefan Meier.
