Extended, and much more Tolkien-influenced, version of The Dungeons of Moria. However, it seems more like an unordered collection of monsters and artifacts from Tolkien's world than anything else.
There is also a multiplayer version called MAngband.
Angband's highest position on the Internet Entertainment Charts was second in Edition 132 (July 10, 1995).
Personal evaluation: Very good and very challenging. But, like The Dungeons of Moria, it is not very graphically interesting and difficult to get into.
The MS-Windows version, unlike most other versions, features graphics and multiple windows.
